Adam= man
Seth= appointed
Enosh = mortal
Cainan = sorrow
Mahalalel - The Blessed God
Jared= shall come down
Enoch= teaching
Methuselah= his death shall bring
Lamech= the desparing
Noha= comfort (or rest)

“Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow, The Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring the despairing comfort.”

Now this is God telling us in the old testament about Jesus coming to die for us thousands of years before he did in the New Testament. How cool is that?
